Campus Recreation and Wellness is here to enhance the quality of life of our students, faculty, and staff by providing opportunities for participation in various recreation programs, services and facilities.

Our department includes the Recreation and Wellness Center (better known as the RAWC), intramural sports, fitness programs, club sports, climbing and bouldering walls, and outdoor programs.

UAFS students have access to our facilities and programs including:

  • A 35-foot climbing wall
  • A 15-foot bouldering wall
  • Matrix strength and cardiovascular eqiupment
  • Two full-size basketball courts
  • Two studio rooms for group fitness and personal fitness use
  • A walking/jogging track
  • Group fitness classes
  • And much  more

Hours of Operation (September)

Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.

Classes uploaded daily to the RAWC YouTube channel. 


  • Core Crunch: 4:30-5 p.m.
  • Zumba!: 5:30-6:30 p.m.


  • Cardio Tone: 4-4:45 p.m.
  • Yoga: 5-6 p.m.


  • Total Body Fit: 4:30-5 p.m.
  • Zumba!: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Recovery Yoga: 5-6 p.m.


  • CoreFit: 4:15-4:45 p.m.

All staff and patrons will be screened at entry regarding:
  • Current temperature (checked by RAWC staff)
  • Experiencing fever 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher in the past two days
  • Experiencing cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell
  • Having had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days
  • Compromised immune systems and/or chronic diseases that increase risk of severe reaction to COVID-19
While using the facility:
  • Alert staff following the use of exercise machines or equipment so they can be fully sanitized
  • Avoid personal contact at all times.
  • Masks must be work in the RAWC, except during group exercise classes and while using the cardio loft equipment, where six feet social distance can be maintained.
