Welcome

Campus Recreation and Wellness is here to enhance the quality of life of our students, faculty, and staff by providing opportunities for participation in various recreation programs, services and facilities.

Our department includes the Recreation and Wellness Center (better known as the RAWC), intramural sports, fitness programs, club sports, climbing and bouldering walls, and outdoor programs.

UAFS students have access to our facilities and programs including:

  • A 35-foot climbing wall
  • A 15-foot bouldering wall
  • Matrix strength and cardiovascular eqiupment
  • Two full-size basketball courts
  • Two studio rooms for group fitness and personal fitness use
  • A walking/jogging track
  • Group fitness classes
  • And much  more

Hours of Operation 

Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.


Monday

  • Core Crunch: 4:30-5 p.m.
  • Zumba!: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Tuesday

  • Cardio Tone: 4-4:45 p.m.
  • Yoga: 5-6 p.m.

Wednesday

  • Total Body Fit: 4:30-5 p.m.
  • Zumba!: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Recovery Yoga: 5-6 p.m.

Thursday

  • CoreFit: 4:00-4:30 p.m.

Well-fitting masks that completely cover nose and mouth are required indoors when 6-foot distance cannot be maintained.

It is recommended that masks be worn while indoors even when distance can be maintained.

 
All staff and patrons will be screened at entry regarding:
  • Current temperature (checked by RAWC staff)
  • Experiencing fever 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher in the past two days
  • Experiencing cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell
  • Having had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days
  • Compromised immune systems and/or chronic diseases that increase risk of severe reaction to COVID-19
All staff and patrons who are in indoor settings where 6 feet of space is not available must wear a face covering. 
  • All patrons will be required to properly wear a mask when entering and leaving UAFS Recreation and Wellness Center (RAWC).
  • Patrons may lower their mask, when 6-foot distance can be maintained.
  • Patrons working out together will be required to wear masks.
  • Patrons playing close contact recreational sports will be required to wear masks.
