Lion's Den FAQ
Do I need to pay a deposit?
All residents will need to pay a $200 deposit while living in the Lion's Den. This deposit is due at the time the contract is signed. The deposit will be held until the student moves out of campus housing and will be released to the student's account. If there are charges still on the student account, the deposit will cover those fees. If the fees are in excess of $200, the student will be required to pay the remaining balance. If there are no fees on the account, the deposit will be refunded. Either the amount will be direct deposited to the bank account the student has previously set-up with the university, or a check will be mailed to the student

What does my room bill cover?
Housing does not operate to make a profit. Instead, the room fee goes directly back into the maintenance, improvement, and expansion of campus housing. While this list is not all inclusive nor does it provide exact percentages or amounts, we want residents to trust their "room rent" is being used wisely. Your room bill covers all utilities for your room and the facility, sanitation service, staff salaries, maintenance expenses for both the room and overall facility, building construction debt, laundry service, pest control, fire inspection service, cleaning supplies, and furnishings. Unfortunately, the cost of all these things increases each year which is why housing rates generally increase each year.
Is there a place to do laundry?
The Lion's Den has a laundry center on the first floor of each building that is open 24/7. These washers and dryers are for residents only.
