Nursing Scholarship

Army ROTC offers 2, 3 and 4 year nursing scholarships to qualified individuals at a "Partnership in Nursing Education" program. UAFS currently offers 1 Nursing Scholarship per year.  This scholarship guarantees service in the Army Nurse Corps upon graduation and commissioning. Being a nurse in the Army provides you with opportunities not found in the civilian world. As an Army Nurse and Officer, you will have the respect of your peers and coworkers, as well as opportunities to train and serve in a variety of specialties. The autonomy to practice nursing as part of the Army Health Care Team is unlike most civilian health care facilities. Your professional judgment will be the driving force behind ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s care are addressed, and you’ll be responsible for initiating coordination of a patient’s multidisciplinary care. Contact us today for more information.

2 Year LTC Scholarships

Leaders Training Course (LTC)

LTC is the Army's only 2 year commissioning program. Through LTC, students without Military Science Basic Course (freshmen and sophomore classes) experience can earn credit for the basic course and qualify for an advanced course (junior and senior years) entry. It is often a prospective cadets' first exposure to Army life on an active Army installation and one of the few opportunities where cadets from various parts of the country undergo a common, high-quality training experience.

Requirements:

Must have 2 years of college remaining (can be graduate or undergraduate)
Be a U.S. citizen
Scholarship applicants must be under 31 years of age on 31 Dec of the year in which they are to be commissioned
Have a college GPA of at least 2.50
Meet military entrance physical standards
Meet Army Height/Weight standards
Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard)

2 Year / Grad School Scholarship

• Must be under 31 years of age on 31 December of the year in which they are to be commissioned.
• Have a College GPA of at least 2.50
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent

• Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)

Leadership, Extracurricular and Athletic Activities

Our scholarship winners are usually well-rounded, active students with good grades and above average potential. More than half of them have held an office either in one of their classes or the student body. Most are National Honor Society members, and a few are editors of school publications. Many are members of clubs (at school, church, or private organizations), and others are varsity letter winners and varsity team captains. As you can see, we look for achievers with broad interests, leadership ability, and a demonstrated willingness to take on challenges and overcome them.

The Army ROTC awards scholarships based on applicant merit, not on financial need. 4 year, 3 year, 2.5 year and 2 year scholarships are available to qualified students.
